My big project this week was this monster truck sibling set! I received this fabric as a strike off sew from Selah Fabric and the whole family is just in love with it. It’s up for preorder now through May 17th!
For Allisons top I sewed up the Little Bow Pea from Goober Pea Designs. I love this little tank! The pattern also comes with options for short, 3/4, and long sleeves. It was a super fast sew for such cute results.
I did have to hand tack my bow in place (a couple hidden stitches in each corner) because the fabric I used wasnt particularly structured, and that helped keep it perky. In the future if I’m using a lighter weight fabric with this pattern, I’ll use iron on interfacing on the bow. I have tons more of these planned!
For Mason’s top, I made the Mega Max from Max and Meena! This is probably my most sewn pattern. Its a cosplay kids hoodie with a million options for different ears, tails, wings and more that you can add on. But it’s also just a great basic raglan like I have here!
So far I’ve used the Mega Max pattern to make: a dinosaur hoodie with spikes and horns, a bat hoodie with wings, bunny ear hoodies for Easter, a parrot costume and a dragon! Plus countless regular raglan tees. Some day I’ll do a round up post on all of those.
Check out some more pictures below, and dont forget to check out the Watercolor Wonder round at Selah Fabric Co. by May 17th! Per usual, the hardest, most time consuming part of this project was convincing my kids to cooperate for pictures.
